 Characters in my piece  Newsreader/ Presenter- trustworthy, personable  The reason for choosing my characters are because they are all usually found in a news piece Audience interpretations: How do these characters look in this piece?- how do they look at your character?  Laura Mulvey- feminist film theorist-  feels really strongly about sexual objectification of women in film and television. That is there role in film  How men look at women  How women look at women  How women look at themselves    Women in media are viewed in the eyes of heterosexual  men.  Empowerment of the character- women’s view of women  Male Gaze: Creating this on purpose. Because you believe your audience need it!  Study Male Gaze and study Laura Mulvey

 target audience- how does my multi camera piece communicate with audiences codes and conventions analysis: choose two similar pieces to analyse  Halls reception theory- whats implied from mode of address  whats the Mise En Scene? Graphics?  Visual Code of the characters?- what is this person/character is like? Do you trust them to do this job?  Adams modes of address- (personal pronouns,thank you for watching) (articluate, smooth) Show images and references (harvard)

 Quantitative data- is numerical, or a yes or no answer  Qualitative data- is a written longer answer which gives you much more detail. Examples of Quantitative questions  How many people play RPG games? Do you buy RPG games?  Would you consider buy an RPG game?  Examples of Qualitative questions? What is your favourite RPG game? What RPG games have you played? When do you play RPG games? Valid/Reliable data: This is where you get the same result no matter how many times you times you repeat the investigation or experiement  Who is my TA?  My target audience (Juan) Juan is 18-24 years old  Juan is male Juan is curretly studying at University where he lives with 3 other people, however he works part time at subway earning £15,000 a year  Juan drives a Ford Fiesta (08 plate) Juan has no pets

 Research page for unit 10 should include:  Secondary research first, then primary  Dont make the project for me, Pick a target audience which s different to what I would usually watch. Describe and discuss what is possible with target audience  Demographic- Who is watching  Pyschographic- why they are watching  Geo-demographic- Where they are watching from  Aspects to include are: Age, Race, Gender,Sexuality,ethnicity,disability,social class, income etc Think of the 5 main tv channels (BBC1,BBC2,ITv 1, Channel 4 and Channel 5) and think about which one will be most suited to your type of promgramme.  Then, think about the genre and then demographic  Demographic Includes: Gender age  Marital status  household income and a reason for watching  On research page: Guess audience demo/pyschographic  define them (reference books found in google books) Find data for demo and pyschographic  Find examples of similar shows
